Bebe has the big girls...

One big one
I know I've been bad about blogging lately. Sewing, summer, and just life have been taking the blogging time. I rarely look at blogs anymore (FB seems to have taken over). However, I really don't want to share EVERYTHING with the FB world. John doesn't want his picture on FB at all, so that is limiting too. Here's a major blog post from just the past few days:
Bebe made the twins some more Dora pjamas. They are HUGE hits. I'm not sure I've ever seen a better reaction for something anybody made anyone. They are IN LOVE!
I FINALLY finished a new dress style and some others:

Daddy is SO fun! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!
He helped Caroline shape this heart, and she was so proud.
Daddy got a really fun card that does Darth Vader's voice. MC dropped it and Max claimed it! He would swat at whoever tried to get it from him. It was hilarious! MC was pretty upset.
Annabelle got a new "Body" dress and LOVED it! Barney the ONLY choice in her mind for a movie.

Photography
After the newborn photo shoot, I consulted my mentor, Kristin. She said I did good, but now I needed to work on my focus. I kind of new that. In taking the pictures, I forgot how to get my focal point changed on my camera. I re-read my manual, and I'm set. So...next day I decided to tote the camera along for some practice. It was Friday. First up was gymnastics with the smaller 3....
No smile, but I focused on her face.
LOVE this one of Annabelle. She smiles a lot, but it's hard to catch. When the camera comes around, she turns it off.
She's in the middle of turning her smile to frown when she saw the camera. LOL!

Next up was Caroline's day camp cookout and awards ceremony. EVERY kid got some kind of award, and enjoyed the desserts! It was HOT, so I left earlier than Bebe and Caroline with the babies.
Caroline got the "Bunny Scout" award. Apparently she was always on the hunt for rabbits on their trails they left.
Hopefully my focus will improve. I am getting more and more enjoyment out of photography! Now for a better camera, lens and photoshop. Uh-oh, John!

The NEW Walker Girls & Paige
Jordan had her twins! YAY! Sarah Moran and I decided to test our photography skills and take pictures for the Walker family. It was such a good experience, and wonderful to get my hands on some tiny babies again! Thanks, Jordan, for allowing us to do this! Here is my set of photos:

Hay Baby
We were on our way to the doctor's office today. MC is looking out the window at field" "Poo-poo vaca." (because they always poop in our yard I guess)
me: "No Mary Clairy...that's hay, baby."
MC: "Hay baby."
I love this stuff!
Each twin got 5 shots. Two in each leg and one in the arm. It's going to be rough this afternoon!
MC is 78% for height, and 26% weight (head 52%).
Annabelle is 76% height, and 2% weight. 99% head! Yes, I know the child has a large head! The doctor said it's perfectly round, so there's nothing to worry about it. The problem looks bad because she's SO skinny. We are AGAIN instructed to try to get her to eat fat and protein! It try! No John's going to get all worked up again about her being so skinny. Oh boy!
So....we stopped for ice cream/milkshakes at Marble Slab on the way home. That is really the first time I have ever done that with my kids! All is great. Chocolate is NOT a hit. We like strawberry here.

Schlitterbahn Time
Yippee! It's Schlitterbahn time!
The babies need work, but everyone had a great time. This is DEFINITELY IMPOSSIBLE without Bebe!
I BARELY got a picture of Caroline because she made friends and was off playing!
Now we flooded here yesterday (not really HERE, but the area did). Not as bad as times in the past, but we're all helping out. I think I'm having NINE kids stay Fri night to help parents out. I've cooked, and we're jut trying to help where we can. Schlitterbahn and the Ski Lodge flooded. Hopefully they'll all open back up soon!
