I've always loved kids. I babysat a lot growing up. When Becca introduced me to hosting an orphan years ago, I knew I wanted to do it. It's expensive, & I didn't think John would go for it......but we're hosting a Ukranian orphan for Christmas!!! I am so excited & already can't wait. I'll keep details coming as I know them.

It's been awhile since I've blogged. I've been busy with BeBe Gear and share some on that FB page.

I'm 16 weeks now, and the heart beat sounded good. I gained no weight (yay!).

Funny part of the appt wast that Hunter and Ashley had an appt at the same time! SO fun! Dr. Blair's nurse had us just all go in one room, because I wanted to hear the heart on Ashley's baby!

Today I did no sewing (yes, unusual). I spent the entire figuring out Photoshop thanks to a great tutorial on LBB's blog! I'm hooked and am trying to get the current Photoshop at a student price since Caroline now qualifies as a student! Yippee!

One of my favorite things about what I do is taking pictures of my girls in the dresses. Caroline was hunting with John tonight, and here's what we did (unedited):

I also got to go have lunch with Caroline this afternoon for lunch. I stayed for recess (and was worn out when I got home), but I really enjoyed seeing the kids. The principal got to talking with me, and guess who is helping with year book photos now! You got it! I volunteered to be at events and just take random pictures. What a GREAT hobby photography is! It has now got me an open invitation to the school. Gotta LOVE that! Caroline really likes this now, but once we hit middle school I am sure she'll ask me to stop. LOL!

Vaca Cookies

The randomness of my blogging an be attributed to me being so tired in the evenings. I pretty much lay in bed from the time we put the kids to bed until I go to sleep. Consequently I am getting excited about the new Parenthood series coming up.

Until then...I want to post about our afternoon.

Caroline's friend Emmie came to play after school which meant she pretty much disappeared and played from the time I pulled into the garage. The smaller girls and I and Tita fed the cows the "vaca cookies." SO funny. The twins may be traumatized by the cow getting really excited about the cookie and reaching with the full extent of her neck and tongue. She got both twins at different times.

I know I've been bad about blogging lately. Sewing, summer, and just life have been taking the blogging time. I rarely look at blogs anymore (FB seems to have taken over). After the newborn photo shoot, I consulted my mentor, Kristin. She said I did good, but now I needed to work on my focus. I kind of new that. In taking the pictures, I forgot how to get my focal point changed on my camera. I re-read my manual, and I'm set. So...next day I decided to tote the camera along for some practice. It was Friday. First up was gymnastics with the smaller 3....

Next up was Caroline's day camp cookout and awards ceremony. EVERY kid got some kind of award, and enjoyed the desserts! It was HOT, so I left earlier than Bebe and Caroline with the babies.

Caroline got the "Bunny Scout" award. Apparently she was always on the hunt for rabbits on their trails they left.

The NEW Walker Girls & Paige

Jordan had her twins! YAY! Sarah Moran and I decided to test our photography skills and take pictures for the Walker family. It was such a good experience, and wonderful to get my hands on some tiny babies again! Thanks, Jordan, for allowing us to do this! Here is my set of photos:

We were on our way to the doctor's office today. MC is looking out the window at field" "Poo-poo vaca." (because they always poop in our yard I guess)

me: "No Mary Clairy...that's hay, baby."
MC: "Hay baby."

I love this stuff!

Each twin got 5 shots. Two in each leg and one in the arm. It's going to be rough this afternoon!

MC is 78% for height, and 26% weight (head 52%).

Annabelle is 76% height, and 2% weight. 99% head! Yes, I know the child has a large head! The doctor said it's perfectly round, so there's nothing to worry about it. The problem looks bad because she's SO skinny. We are AGAIN instructed to try to get her to eat fat and protein! It try! No John's going to get all worked up again about her being so skinny. Oh boy!

So....we stopped for ice cream/milkshakes at Marble Slab on the way home. That is really the first time I have ever done that with my kids! All is great. Chocolate is NOT a hit. We like strawberry here.

The last day of school was actually a field trip for Jacqueline's class. We went to Wonderworld in San Marcos. I had never been. I had Caroline come with us since it seemed like fun!
